The 2027 Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) won’t be announced until October, but early indications are that it will not be good. According to an article by Newsweek, analysts predict the 2027 COLA will be 2.5%. That’s less than this year’s 2.8% COLA and brings us back to 2025’s 2.5%.
Council of Seniors Wants to Give Retirees More Money
The chance of seeing a substantial COLA in the future seems unlikely. That’s why all of us here at the Council of Seniors are working hard to get Congress to passThe SAVE Benefits Act. This crucial bill will put $581 back in seniors’ pockets to make up for Social Security cost-of-living adjustments that were far too low for years.
Greedy Washington politicians are using retirees’ hard-earned money in other ways, but we’re dedicated to giving it back to those who are rightfully entitled to it.
