There are of lot of people aging in place who may suddenly find themselves single and alone. Those losing a spouse or partner can find themselves longing for companionship and someone who shares their interests.

AARP has surveyed the nation’s cities’ livability scores and senior population size to determine which might be most suitable for those age 65 and above who still are active and want to date. The top 10 locations range from some of our larger cities to communities aimed at retirees that offer the social amenities conducive to dating.

Here are the top-rated places:

  • New York, NY
  • Denver, CO
  • Austin, TX
  • The Villages, FL
  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • Sun City, AZ
  • Madison, WI
  • Arlington, VA
  • Springfield, MA
  • Palm Springs, CA

They all have a significant retiree population and offer a range of climates as well as overall livability.

Dating is Easier with Extra Income

Extra income will be helpful for those looking to date again. That’s just one reason why Council of Seniors is totally committed to getting Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act. Insufficient Social Security cost of living adjustments (COLAs) from some recent years make this bill a top priority.  Since $581 has been withheld from seniors, we need this bill to return that money to them.

Sign our petition today without delay. Washington politicians need the wake-up call about how many people support this bill.
