In challenging economic times, people look for discounts where they can. Seniors, in particular, appreciate businesses that give them a break. Some companies extend these offers to veterans or those with low income as well. While some retailers may be trimming back on discounts, popular companies remain senior-friendly.
In addition to stores providing a break for seniors, thrift stores like Goodwill and The Salvation Army encourage senior shoppers.
Here are the most popular stores still giving senior discounts ranging from 10 to 20 percent:
- Kohl’s
- JOANN
- Michael’s
- Ross Dress for Less
- T.J. Maxx
- Walgreens
In addition, restaurants, grocery stores, retailers, prescription providers, and travel companies are knocking something off the price. Some offers are available only on certain days of the week or may be limited to an annual amount. They also may apply only to certain brands within a store. Nonetheless, it pays to shop around and patronize those businesses who appreciate you.
You Deserve the Money You’re Entitled To
You worked hard for so many years and are entitled to the benefits you were promised. That’s just one reason why here at Council of Seniors, we’re committed to getting Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act. Due to low Social Security cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs), the amount of $581 was withheld from seniors. It’s high time for this money to be returned.
Signing our petition is the best way to start helping to give Congress a wake-up call about how many Americans support this bill.
