The spring legislative session is in full swing and seniors are watching to see if Congress will finally pass The SAVE Benefits Act. It will PAY BACK retirees for the cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) money that was withheld for years.

And this year is no different. The COLA for 2026 is just 2.8 percent. That’s not nearly enough to keep up with rising costs.

The SAVE Benefits Act, when passed, will give retirees $581 to make up for the years when they received little or no cost-of-living adjustment.

The Council of Seniors urges concerned citizens from across America to sign our petition calling on Congress to enact this crucial legislation.
