For many, sea and river cruises are their favorite form of vacation. There are many options available, but few are designed strictly for adults. People who don’t want to endure the commotion of family-friendly cruises caused by rambunctious kids now have alternatives to consider. The adult-only cruise lines cater to those 18 and older looking for amenities focused on their interests.

Viking Ocean Cruises was the first cruise line to feature ships for adults only. As one of the bigger lines, they offer these cruises worldwide for single adults, couples, and honeymooners. The amenities are more sophisticated, with Viking billing itself “The Thinking Person’s Cruise.”

Adults seeking an adult-only river cruise through Europe can find what they want is offered by Uniworld, which originally catered to younger adults. It lifted its age restriction to allow more senior cruisers in 2018.

Virgin Voyages is the newest entrant in the adult-only cruise niche, the latest innovation by billionaire Richard Branson to provide a luxury experience for travelers. Its fleet of four ships began operation in 2020.

Retirement Should Be Smooth Sailing

Additional money will help you to travel during your retirement years. That’s just one reason why Council of Seniors is committed to getting Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act. The annual Social Security cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) have been inadequate in recent years. If we can get this bill passed, eligible seniors will be reimbursed in the amount of $581.

Please sign our petition and tell others to help too. Let’s work together to show Washington politicians how many people support this bill.
