With car prices rising along with many other items, consumers need good information on which car brands rate the highest. Consumer Reports provides an annual Brand Report Card rating the main automobile brands in terms of overall satisfaction. Among the criteria used to create the rankings are road test score, predicted reliability, owner satisfaction data, and safety features.
Here are the top five picks for 2024:
- BMW
- Subaru
- Porsche
- Honda
- Lexus
BMW is the first back-to-back winner since 2017.
The five brands receiving the worst scores, beginning with the worst, were:
- Jeep
- Land Rover
- Jaguar
- GMC
- Rivian
