For seniors aged 65 and up who live alone, cooking can become something of a chore. In order to meet senior nutritional needs, a meal delivery service may prove to be the right solution.

Caregiver experts have rated various meal delivery options and have come up with four companies that meet their criteria for meeting dietary needs, price, ease of ordering, and sustainable quality.

  • Sunbasket provides a wide variety of both premade meals or meal kits beginning at $10 a meal.
  • Magic Kitchen offers frozen meals that begin at $12 a serving for those not interested in meal preparation.
  • Seniors who have the time and inclination to prepare meals from kits may try Home Chef, which has meals beginning at $9.
  • And those who rely on Medicare and Medicaid support will find Mom’s Meals the best choice. They come pre-cooked and ready to reheat. Prices vary depending on the region.

There Should Be More Value in Your Benefits

You worked hard for so many years, and you deserve the benefits you were promised. Here at Council of Seniors, we’re committed to getting Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act. The amount of $581 was withheld from seniors’ Social Security checks due to insufficient cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) over the years. This bill will ensure that the money is returned.

Signing our petition is the first way you can help. Let’s show Congress how many people think this should be a top priority.
