Earlier in November, U.S. News & World Report released a list of the best places to retire in the United States in 2024. While many interesting places wound up on the list, they opted to get seniors to weigh in with their own opinions of what makes a place retirement-worthy.

As you’ll see in this video they shared on TikTok, not everyone listed an actual location.

The first lady they interviewed totally nailed it! “The number one place is the place where when you wake up in the morning, you have people around you who really care about who can be there for you when you need something… and where you can afford to live in a place that feels physically comfortable.”

While that place differs for everyone, it’s no doubt a dream we all have about our retirement years.

This Should Be the Best Time in Your Life

Here at Council of Seniors, we’re working hard to get Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act so seniors will have more retirement income. Extra money will help you live in a place you love! This bill is necessary because the annual Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) withheld $581 from seniors over the years. It’s time for that money to be returned, and the passage of this bill will make that happen.

Sign our petition immediately to help us get this money returned to seniors!
