The Global Mail reports that an alternative more people are considering for retirement living is a recreational vehicle (RV) instead of a brick-and-mortar home.

RVs offer a wide range of options for living, from larger motorhomes to travel trailers. What some find appealing is the ability to move around and experience life in different areas instead of remaining in one place year-round.

For those who love to travel, an RV offers the freedom to enjoy numerous locales and visit family and friends. But before taking the plunge, experts advise to rent an RV and try out the lifestyle before making a full commitment to a new way of life.

Depending on the RV that you choose, spending your retirement on the road just might prove more economical than purchasing a home in one place.

You Need All of Your Hard-Earned Money in Retirement

Regardless of where you choose to live in retirement, you deserve every penny of the Social Security income that was promised to you. At Council of Seniors, we’re working hard to get Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act. If passed, this bill will put money back in seniors’ pockets — $581 to be exact. The $581 makes up for the missing cost of living adjustments (COLAs) that were too low or never even implemented over a period of years.

By signing our petition, together we can show politicians in Washington how many people support this bill.
