Do you know as much about Social Security as you should? If you don’t, rest assured that you aren’t alone. A MassMutual study found that only 3 percent of people ages 55-65 could ace a true or false quiz about Social Security retirement benefits.
On top of that, 35 percent of them actually failed the quiz! Whether you’re retired or just entering retirement, you’ll want to know as much as possible about the benefits you’re entitled to.
Be Aware of the Money You Deserve
As you may know, here at Council of Seniors, it’s our mission to urge Congress to pass the The SAVE Benefits Act. This bill matters to seniors for a couple of key reasons.
First, it will give seniors back $581 which they are entitled to. Their Social Security benefits are far less than they deserve. The amount of $581 makes up the sum of Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) that was denied over a series of years.
We’d love your support in helping urge representatives to pass The SAVE Benefits Act. By signing our petition, you’ll help us get one step closer to our goal.
Did you take the quiz? How did you score? Let us know!
