As the Baby Boomer generation has aged and retired, we’ve seen the development and explosion of the concept of retiree senior living communities. These self-contained mini-cities offer a wide range of housing options. They come with ample recreational opportunities, dining and entertainment venues, shopping areas, and community services such as libraries and community maintenance.
Senior living experts have scoured the country and come up with their list of the top five communities across America. They’re spread out across the U.S., but all are in a warm climate. Those chosen are:
- The Villages, Florida
- Sun City Hilton Head, South Carolina
- Sun City Summerlin, Nevada
- Solvita, Florida
- Rio Verde, Arizona
Housing options can range from modest townhomes to luxury residences. With a range of price points, retirees can find the housing option that will fit their budget and put them in a community of like-minded people. Whatever you seek in a retirement location, it’s more than likely these five developments will meet your needs.
Council of Seniors Wants to Make Retirement Easier
Additional retirement income can help you settle in your dream location. Here at Council of Seniors, we’re dedicated to getting Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act. The amount of $581 was withheld from seniors’ benefits due to inadequate cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs). If this bill passes, eligible seniors will have this money returned to them.
Signing our petition is the first way to help. We’ll be grateful for your participation in returning this money to seniors.
