People concerned about their alcohol intake might think drinking wine is better for them than spirits. In this case, what wines are the healthiest?

Dietitians have analyzed what’s in wine in terms of sugar and alcohol. While polling suggests wine drinkers prefer red wines over white wines, dry white wines grown in cooler climates are the healthiest to drink. That’s because they have less sugar and alcohol.

Wines have residual sugars left after grapes are fermented. In warmer climates, grapes get riper and retain more sugar and alcohol. Therefore, wines produced in cooler climates should be consumed by those concerned about what they drink. These include wines from the Pacific Northwest and New York in the United States and those from Germany, Chile, northern France, and Italy globally.

The government’s Dietary Guidelines recommend no more than two drinks daily for men and one for women.

Council of Seniors Wants Senior Life to be Fulfilling

Your retirement should be a time of relaxation, enjoyment, and wine if you like it! That’s why Council of Seniors is convinced Congress must pass The SAVE Benefits Act. The annual Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) has fallen short in recent years, and the amount of $581 was withheld from seniors. If we can get this bill passed, that money will be returned.

Signing our petition should be your first step in helping. Your support can make a real difference in returning this money to seniors.
