With costs of living on the rise pretty much across the nation, it can be tough these days to find an affordable place to spend your retirement.

To take some of the guesswork out of where you should possibly move next, check out this video, which lists the 10 cheapest states to live in during retirement in 2023.

Though most people probably aren’t surprised that a Florida city made the list, North Fort Myers fell into the number 9 spot, which is much lower than expected.

And topping off the list is Knoxville, Tennessee, which is an overlooked hidden gem. With its close proximity to the Smoky Mountains and serving as home to the University of Tennessee, there really are no shortage of retirement activities.

Retirement Should Be Enjoyable

Your retirement shouldn’t leave you worrying about whether you have enough money to support yourself. Here at Council of Seniors, we know getting Congress to pass The SAVE Benefits Act will help that. This bill is needed to make up for the Social Security cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) in recent years that were inadequate. If this bill passes, $581 will be returned to eligible seniors.
