When the family gets together for Thanksgiving, it’s fun to liven things up with some fun games to play. Party planners have plenty of ideas for breaking out of the mold of just sitting around chatting and watching football. The games can be played as individuals or in teams.

Here are eight of the suggested games:

  1. The Mayflower
  2. Face the Pie
  3. The Goblet Gobble
  4. Feather Float
  5. Football Flick
  6. Grateful for Speed
  7. Please Pass the Corn
  8. Traffic Yam

You don’t need any special equipment for these games. The rules explain what common household items to use. To add some more fun and hilarity, use an hourglass timer for a “beat the clock” element. Of course, you can also pass the time playing a classic board game like checkers or chess, too. The main point is to relax and have fun.

Council of Seniors Works to Strengthen Social Security

Additional retirement income is useful during the holiday time. Here at Council of Seniors, we believe Congress must pass The SAVE Benefits Act to give seniors the help they need. The annual Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) has shortchanged seniors in recent years. If we can get this legislation passed, the $581 missing from their benefit will be reimbursed.
